Information event ‘Diseases in old age’ and participation course AKTIV

Many senior citizens are unsure how to deal with illnesses in old age and still have little knowledge on this topic. At the request of our senior citizens, we are pleased to be able to offer an information event on the topic of “Illnesses in old age” in April.

Among other things, it will cover which diseases are particularly common, how to recognize the first signs and what is important when dealing with medication. Physician Dr. Tonga Tran will give a talk on this and impart her knowledge in an understandable way.

This will be followed by our ACTIVE participation course, in which the topic can be explored in greater depth with our course leader and any unanswered questions can be discussed.

The AKTIV participation course is aimed at senior citizens who already speak some German but have only had limited access to information about participation and services for older people due to other barriers. Topics from the information events are discussed and explained further here together with a course leader.

The first AKTIV participation course will take place directly after the information event on April 16 at 3-5 pm.
