The 52nd Berlin Senior Citizens’ Week will take place this year from June 27, 2026, to July 4, 2026. The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of June 27, 2026, at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek. Following that, the “Market of Opportunities” invites you to get to know various institutions, organizations, and associations that will be presenting their services specifically tailored to older adults. In addition, visitors can look forward to a diverse program throughout Berlin all week long. FaMiPA will also be there with a booth! We look forward to seeing you there!
Procedure & Organization
The opening will be performed by Senator Cansel Kiziltepe together with the Deputy Director of the Berlin Central and State Library Dr. Inga Burgmann, the Vice President of the Berlin House of Representatives Dr. Bahar Haghanipour and the District Mayor of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
Clara Herrmann. The program also includes a panel discussion in which representatives of Berlin’s senior citizens’ committees will actively participate. The motto of this year’s 52nd Berlin Seniors’ Week is “Our experience counts”.
From 13:00 to 15:30, the popular Market of Opportunities on the street in front of the library invites you to discover and linger. Numerous organizations and associations will be presenting their offers for older people – all about commitment, encounters, advice, mobility and much more.
Come along, discover new things, make new contacts and enjoy the day in a pleasant atmosphere.
