Week of caring relatives

The eighth Family Caregivers Week will take place in Berlin from May 4 to 10, 2026. In the spirit of recognition, relief and information, caregiving relatives can expect a varied program with around 30 events. There will be formats for relaxation and time out, for strengthening self-care and for information and networking. The patron of the campaign week is Dr. Ina Czyborra, Senator for Science, Health and Care.

The “Family Carers’ Week” draws public attention to the invaluable work of family carers. Every two years, it is coordinated by the specialist unit for caring relatives and implemented with the support of numerous organizations from the care and self-help sectors. The aim is to give caregiving relatives attention, concrete support and social appreciation.
