Dear seniors with a background in migration,
The Center for Migration, Care, and Aging (FaMiPA) offers gatherings where you can meet with seniors and artists. Here, you can discuss everyday topics, get some exercise, and get creative. FaMiPA provides information on how to ensure you’re well cared for as you age in Berlin and what services are available to you in the city.

"Connected Through Dance" - Dance Workshop in July & August 2026
Dance project for seniors with a background in migration!
Are you 60 or older, have a background in migration, and live in Berlin? Would you like to get active, meet new people, and chat with others about everyday topics? If so, we cordially invite you to “Tanzend verbunden”:
Through five workshops, we’ll create a space for connection, movement, and sharing. Here, you can make new friends and explore together what brings joy, a sense of connection, and security in later life.
The project is led by Kaveh Ghaemi. Kaveh is a dancer, actor, and dance educator. He has lived in Berlin since 2011 and has many years of experience working artistically with diverse groups. In his workshops, he creates spaces where people with no prior dance experience can move together. Kaveh speaks German and Farsi.
Languages: The workshops will be held in German and Persian (Farsi). Other languages can be accommodated through interpretation if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.

- No prior experience in dance or movement is required!!!
- Interactions and exchanges with other seniors
- Information on recreational, support, and counseling services for older adults and those in need of care
- A space for your experiences, wishes, and ideas
