FaMiPA Updates – Visit from the Medical Service – Well-Prepared and Supported

FaMiPA cordially invites you as part of our event series
“FaMiPA informs…. Knowledge that helps!

We’re wrapping up our “FaMiPA Informs…” series with another important topic. The Medical Service and the Interkulturellen Brückenbauer*innen in Nursing explain the process and
the steps involved in a nursing care assessment:

Visit from the Medical Service – GWell-prepared and supported

Thursday, November 26, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A visit from the Medical Service is an important step in the process of determining your long-term care level and often raises many questions.
The Berlin-Brandenburg Medical Service provides information on how a long-term care assessment works, what you need to prepare for and how to do so, and what support options are available.

Following the presentation by the Medical Service, the “Brückenbauer*innen” will present their work and the support options available in the context of care assessments and will be available to answer questions.
The “Brückenbauer*innen” use their linguistic and transcultural expertise to help people in need of care who have backgrounds as migrants or refugees, as well as their relatives and loved ones, access the long-term care and support system.

Ludger Waterkamp – Nursing Advisor at the Berlin-Brandenburg Medical Service

Nazife Sari – Director of the Interkulturelle Brückenbauer*innen in Nursing

Each of them will present their work and will be available to discuss it with you and answer your questions.
